Avoiding problems when buying a manufactured home
- Walk through the actual home, or one built to the same plan/series, before you buy.
- Ask exactly what's included: delivery, dealer fees, doc fees, title fees etc.
- Check your land early, access, clearing, septic, well and permits all affect cost and timing.
- Get the price in writing, with no surprise fees added at signing.
- Avoid high-pressure sales. A good deal will still be a good deal after you've had time to think.
